the boys July 2015

I've been trying to make a point of taking photos of Hobbes while he's still really little because I know that these days will be over before we know it. I take a lot of random snaps with my cell phone, but I like to capture kitty moments with my DSLR, too.

Hobbes is crazy about these little Mylar balls.

Of course when I have the camera out, I like to take pictures of Ares and Apollo as well.

Ares, watching the backyard birdie channel.

Apollo, our natural poser, enjoying a suitcase and our massage table.

What have your cats been up to lately?

hanging out with Hobbes

Whenever I have my DSLR out at home, I seem to end up taking a few (and by few, I really mean a lot) of pictures of my cats. As I've mentioned before, Hobbes has so much energy that it's been hard to get more than a few snaps of him when he's not sleeping, particularly with the DSLR. Last week I was lucky enough to get a great round up of shots of him.

Of course I couldn't take pictures of Hobbes without taking a few pictures of Apollo, my ever present photo taking helper and total natural in front of the camera.

X is for Paws Crossed

Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!

This time last year for the letter X, I posted about one of Angel's signature poses: paws crossed. Apollo and Ares were always curious about Angel and spent quite a bit of time watching her.

I took this picture of Apollo over a year ago.

And I just snapped this one of him earlier this month.

It's so sweet how she stays with all of us, even the boys.

Check out what the other Alphabe Thursday participants posted for letter X this week right here!

Boys and Their Toys

As I mentioned on Saturday in my Caturday post, Jake bought our kitty clan an S toy a couple weeks ago. I don't take a lot of cat pictures with my SLR because our boys move around way too quickly for me to capture a lot of their cutest moments with it. But this toy has already been such a hit that I've had some extended periods for SLR shooting with the boys lately.

This little set is all Apollo because most of the time Ares would rather visit me and the camera than keep playing.

Do the boys in your house have a lot of toys, too?
