S is for Solvay Coke

Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!

I'm repeating an Alphabe Thursday theme today to bring you another round up of photos from the abandoned Solvay Coke & Gas site in Milwaukee. You can read more about Solvay Coke in the first post that I ever wrote about the site back in July 2013. Today I'm sharing photos from my last excursion to the site, which was back in April. Enjoy.

photo share: abandoned house

During a recent photo taking excursion, a friend and I stumbled across an abandoned house along a country highway. It was not the first time that one of the neatest parts of a trip was something that we didn't plan, and I'm sure that it won't be the last. The house piqued curiosity so I went ahead and edited this little set before I edited the rest of my photos from that excursion. Enjoy.

If you came across this post because you're looking for new photography spots in the Milwaukee area, the house is on Highway C in between Lion's Den Gorge and Port Washington.

What have you been photographing lately? Have you stumbled across any surprising finds?

S is for Solvay Coke

Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!

Do you remember my first photo share of the Solvay Coke & Gas Site? If not, no worries. I got to make a second excursion there last month and am sharing some of my photos from that trip today. If you want more information about this site, check out the links that I included in my first post. Enjoy.
