Treasury Round Up - 8/5/12

It's been another good treasury week!  Please help me thank the curators who featured my work this past week by visiting their shops and checking out their treasuries.

Lisa (AliferousExpress) included my Silver Dangle Earrings - Pink Shell in her Big & Bold treasury.  This treasury definitely is big and bold.  I love the colors here.  Check out Lisa's Two 5x7 Digital Prints - Butterflies and Quotes - Printable Images Art - Journal Covers.

Heather (iHartFelt) included my Button Post Stud Earrings - Holiday Set of 3 - Christmas, Halloween, and Fourth of July in her Follow Your Dreams treasury.  This is such a colorful collection.  Check out Heather's "Four Friends" Owl Softies.

Pamela (ForHerEarsOnly) included my Beaded Bracelet - The Leaf Series - Spring II in her New Orleans Garden District treasury.  The color combination and mix of items here is stunning.  The pink and green is awesome.  Check out Pamela's EMERALD COPPER Heart.

Lindsey (lindseyled7) included my Beaded Cuff Bracelet - Ballet Stripe in her Baby Pink and Black Stripes treasury.  She did a beautiful job with these colors.  Lindsey is a buyer only, but you can check out the Pilot Princess PINK PISTON Desk Task Modern Art Lamp from her favorites.

Get It Together Thursday: Yellow and Orange Button Embellished Bracelet

I'm joining up with Janet of HoneyFromTheBee again to bring you a fashion board for one of my newly listed pieces.

This piece is available here.  Here is what I put together to go with it.

I always go to Zoe's shop first when I'm looking for clothing picks.  It rarely disappoints.  I didn't want to overwhelm the yellow and orange with a lot of other bright colors so I started here with a teal blue skirt.

I went searching for a white sleeveless top to pair with the skirt, and this is what I found.  I'm a huge fan of polka dots so of course I love the subtle polka dots here.

I know that I should branch out more, but I headed right to Madelynn's shop to pick out some earrings.  I know that the green is a bit of an odd choice with the bracelet, but they're far enough away the wrist that I think it works.

For the shoes, I went with a classic pair of Steve Madden sandals.  Don't let the heels throw you.  Steve Madden shoes are comfortable, even with heels.

I am really picky about bags so this was actually the hardest selection.  I usually put in general search terms and then just browse until the right one jumps out at me, which is what ended up happening this time.  Isn't this green bag sweet?

I didn't want to pair a necklace with the sleeveless top collar so I picked out some owl buttons instead.  You could put one on the collar and then put a couple more on the bag.

SALE...or not?
I'm still in the process of clearing out my Christmas in July sale items and haven't made up my mind what kind of sale I want to run next.   If there is something that you want to see, let me know!  Otherwise I may give it a rest for a few months and then gear up again for the holidays.

Bring it on August!

• The HubPages Apprenticeship program is continuing to go well.  I'm getting in a better groove with my revamped writing style for the program and reached my goal of writing 24 HubPages articles for July.  I usually average 10-15 articles per month there so this was a stretch.  We'll see if I can meet it again this month. I had second article chosen for Hub of the Day this month, Button Craft Project Ideas: How to Make Easy Crafts with Buttons, on July 30 so that was a great way to end the month.
• It was every bit as amazing as I thought it would be having Jake on a M-F schedule and getting to revamp my own schedule to match that this past month.  We did so many fun social things in July.  August will be a little less busy, which is fine.  We still have some great plans in the works.  I'll be posting more about that as it develops.
• I'm not planning to do any more shows until October and am not planning any big promotions on Etsy until then so I'm putting some of my shop agenda on the back burner for a couple months.  I will still be creating and listing at least one new item on Etsy every week, but I'm not setting much of a schedule otherwise.  I am still trying to stay ahead with card making, but there's no reason to stress out or burn out on making other show items at this point
• I've picked up a couple new writing clients and another new writing opportunity this past month.  Those of you who do freelance work know how nice it is to have regular work every week, which cuts down on some of the constant work searching that you have to do.
