Saturday Link List: the Thanksgiving edition

Welcome to the Thanksgiving edition of my weekly link list!  The Halloween edition was pretty well received last month so I'll continue to do holiday editions for these lists as it's appropriate.  All month I've been putting together a Thanksgiving DIY 2011 board on Pintrest.  You can click on that link to see the full set of items.  It includes recipes, costumes, decorations, and more.  I'll highlight a few of my favorites here.

I have to promote my Thanksgiving hubs, which I did include there: 10 Pumpkin Recipes for Thanksgiving and 10 Unique Free Homemade Thanksgiving Centerpieces.  I really enjoy pumpkin recipes and have made a number of them this fall, so I felt very inspired to write that hub.  My seasonal hubs have done well so I got inspired to write the centerpieces one, too.

Here are a few other links that I love from my board.

How cute are these?  They would be perfect for any type of party or get together.

I love homemade rolls for Thanksgiving and don't really need an excuse to make them, but if you do need an excuse, here it is.  These are just like fortune cookies.

Kristy from Sweet Treats and More has posted a number of great pumpkin recipes all fall.  I can't keep up with all of them!  This is one of the most recent ones.

I love free printables!  If you make cards, scrapbooks, photo frames, and/or pretty much anything else that involves paper, you can take advantage of free printables.

I love this place setting idea from the Design Sponge!  Who would have guessed that you could make little pumpkins or gourds from cardboard?  The ribbon detail is great, too.

Again, you can check out the board for the complete set.  Have fun with all of your crafty Thanksgiving endeavors this year!

Did you use one of the resources, tutorials, or recipes from my link list?  Leave me a link in the comments or send me an e-mail (randomcreative28@gmail.com) with your photos and stories.  I would love to post them here!

  3. The pumpkins from cardboard! So cute! But see.. I am just not that crafty.. people assume that I am.. when I am in groups of people, if we are on the subject of crafts, people will turn to me, like I am the Martha Stewart of the group, when really, I am terrible at crafts.. I struggle through things, I follow directions terrible.. My creative bone in my body, is a short one.. like.. maybe the pinky toe bone length.. lol.. I am rambling! happy Saturday, Rose!

  6. That is so funny to read red-handed comment. I forget that the Canadians have their own version of Thanksgiving.

I like the cardboard pumpkins-- so creative!
