If you aren't already participating in at least one meme 1-2 times per month at a minimum, I highly encourage you to consider it. It can be a great way to challenge yourself while getting new blog followers.
I am finally making an effort to use Twitter more effectively. I am slowly working on greatly reducing the number of people I follow so I can interact with the ones that I do follow. I am also finally using Hootsuite to schedule regular non-promotional links for my followers. I highly encourage everyone to do both of these things. There are not a lot of people (besides me) on HubPages writing about Etsy. I like to promote the good articles about it there when I can.

Adding the commentator widget and including featured items and shoutouts during my monthly news post at the beginning of each month has been very successful. One of the most valuable things that I get out of my blog is feedback and interaction. I want to make sure that I show my appreciation for this. Think about doing something on your blog to recognize the people who comment regularly.
For those who want to step up their advertising in 2012 with new blog buttons, check this out. She uses Picnik for this tutorial so you don't need Photoshop or a lot of photo editing skills for this.
Create your own link list and grab a button for your post or simply spread the word on your blog.

I bookmarked the page with the free photo links - easier than bookmarking each link - tho I prefer clip art and animations. I like the essence of something rather than the thing itself.
