I'm Not a Pilot at Regner Park

As many of you know, just one of the numerous fun things to do in Milwaukee during the summer is listen to live music, often for free and outdoors. While I've heard a number of bands here over the past few years, most often I'm checking out an event because I'm Not a Pilot is there. The inaugural Homegrown festival at Regner Park in West Bend, WI last month was no exception.

Thing #1,428 that I don't want to admit to anyone: I'm still editing pictures from summer 2014. Remember how one of my unofficial goals this year was to edit as many 2014 pictures as possible by spring 2015? Here we are in the first week of May and I'm still going through 2014 pictures. However, I've made a lot of progress AND am doing well with the second part of the goal, which is to stay ahead on 2015 editing.

Anyway, going through summer pictures makes me so excited about summer. I know that fall is the trendy season right now, but seriously nothing makes me happier than spring and summer. Today I'm sharing a little batch of black and white edits from one of my favorite nights of summer 2014. Enjoy.

first 2015 trip to the Milwaukee County Zoo

Many of you know that I'm a huge fan of the Milwaukee County Zoo and I go multiple times each year. Somehow before this month, I hadn't been since the summer of 2014. The beautiful weather we've had this March was the perfect excuse to go again.

Where have you been taking pictures lately?

If you've been following my blog for any length of time, you know that one of my favorite spots to frequent with my camera is the VA grounds. After months of nasty weather keeping me from taking regular walks in my neighborhood, it felt so good to get back there last week.

Some of you may remember that Jake and I went to Las Vegas back in February. I am finally finally wrapping up my Las Vegas photo editing. It's ridiculous that it's taken me this long, but it's also been fun revisiting parts of our trip throughout the past six months. One of my favorite parts about this vacation was going to Red Rock Canyon. If you are ever out that way, please take a day or half a day and check it out. These photos will convince you that it's well worth it.
