midnight

Lois (FoxyGknits) included my Beaded Bracelet - Midnight Blue in her The Colors of Midnight treasury.  Thanks Lois!

Also on the subject of midnight, one of my co-workers recently ordered this bracelet from me.  It's made to order so she got a brand new version.

I'd been planning to make more of this design for a while.  Now that I have my blue beads mixed, I'll make at least one more for Etsy so it will be back in stock sometime in the near future.

why I love my customers

I love my customers because sometimes they come with amazing ideas for custom orders that never would have occurred to me.  The most recent custom order that I finished is a perfect example of this.  Patch (patchfirstshop) contacted me about creating a set of pendants, one in navy blue (which is her boyfriend's favorite color) and turquoise (which is one of her favorite colors).  She's going to give the turquoise one to him for Christmas.  This way, they can each have something that reminds them of the other one.  How sweet is that?

Patch came up with the design for the shape and how it will look like one can fit right inside the other.
For anyone who beadweaves and is interested in trying this: The tubular square is well worth the effort, as I'm sure you can tell from the pictures.  However, it is trickier than a tubular triangle because of the way the piece keeps curving until it's connected right at the end.  I highly recommend getting comfortable with the flat and tubular triangle designs before attempting this.
I have several more ideas for this design now, including several squares in different sizes connected to make a longer pendant.  And as always, if you're interested in something like this for yourself, please let me know.

treasury features

I am very fortunate to be included in two more treasuries this week!  The first one is by my EtsyBlogger teammate Charity (eternalstardust) who included my Beaded Bracelet - Turquoise and Gold and my Beaded Dangle Earrings - Peyote Triangles - Purple Pearl in her EtsyBloggers Great Gifts $25 & Under treasury.

The second is by josielovesit who included my Beaded Beads - Set of Four - Blue/Green in her Navy Blue and green treasury.
Thanks again!

October EBW Challenge, new listing, Etsy purchase

The October EBW Challenge Super Power Jewelry voting is up and running! You can vote on the EBW blog from today through October 15. http://etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com/ The entries are wonderful as always.

I listed another button embellished right angle bracelet tonight. I'd like to do a remake of my red and purple button embellished design next.

I got the first of several recent Etsy purchases in the mail today. It is this wonderful wristlet from Janine King Designs. I prefer to carry a small purse and was in need of a new one. I have had a hard time finding something small, but this one is perfect. Yes, I really will be able to fit everything that I need into this bag. It is VERY well constructed. The padding is amazing, and the zipper is very securely attached. I am confident that it will have a long life span.

I finished my bright red and orange leafy bracelet that I posted the sneak peak of earlier this week. Hopefully I will get some good lighting this weekend to take pictures of it.
