I took photos of my first glass/metal charm sets for my new line. I started working on my initial ideas for this line back in the summer, so it's hard to believe that I'm really going to start getting these new listings up in a week or so.
Most of my wrap bracelets/necklaces will include one charm, but I will have separate sets of charms for sale. I will definitely get this custom initial set up first. Please click on the photos to see larger versions of them.
The large pendant is glass, and the letter charms are sterling silver. Most of my charm sets will have silver plated charms to keep the cost down, but I wanted to do sterling silver for the letters.
I also photographed my flower charm set.
Most of my metal charms will be silver. I really liked that little bronze flower so I picked it up for this initial set. I ordered a bulk set of silver flowers for future sets.
My next sets will be: leaves (surprise, right?) and beach/tropical. I'm also working on a heart set for Valentine's Day.
Future set ideas include: music, pets, cross/religious, dotted/circles, stripes, ballet/dancing, snowflakes, Christmas, other seasonal/holiday sets, kids, buttons, celestial, and books/reading. Some of these ideas are coming together more easily than others.
I'm debating including a photo in the charm set listings with at least one of the charms on a sterling silver chain. I may just photograph a few charms with the chain for the separate chain listing, though.
Feedback on the photos and set ideas would be much appreciated. If there's anything else that you'd like to see, let me know.
I included this post in Michelle's Delicately Constructed Friday 12/23/11.

trading for Christmas presents
Right before we moved to Milwaukee, Yvonne (yjja123) asked me if I'd be interested in trading with her. Believe it or not, she's already thinking about her Christmas shopping! I definitely did want to, but I also wanted to wait until we moved, so we just completed our trade this past week.
We have traded twice in the past. Both times, I kept the pendants that I got.
Somewhere I have a picture of myself wearing the first pendant. But it isn't saved on this computer or posted anywhere on Facebook, so it will stay in my archived picture CDs. Anyway, this time I decided that I would give my pendants away. I asked female family members if they had any favorites in her shop before I make my selections. This is what I ended up getting.
The recipients of these lovely pieces may be reading this, but hopefully they will have forgotten all about it by the time Christmas comes around. I wouldn't have picked either of these myself, but they are still really gorgeous. Yvonne does wonderful work. She's also great to work with for these trades. I would trade with her again any time.
If anyone is curious, this what she got from me in the most recent trade.
I had never put these pieces side by side before I packed them up. I couldn't believe how well the colors coordinate!
I don't trade a lot on Etsy, but I do enjoy it sometimes when someone has something that I really like or would give as a gift. If you're ever interested, feel free to contact me.

Rochester, sea glass pendants
As some of you know, I went to Rochester, MN this past weekend.
The weather was gorgeous. Here's a shot of us with what may be our future home's skyline in the background.
I finished my sea glass pendant order when I got back.
The buyer is very pleased with everything so I'll send the pendants on their way later this week. I'll have more details about Grace's blog giveaway earrings soon. I'll also have my 2010 holiday special for Etsy up and running this week so stay tuned.

triangle pendants
I remade two of my pendants in one of my favorite beading color combinations. I haven't sold any on Etsy yet, but I've sold a handful in person so I want to have a nice variety for the Arts Festival. I also have much better pictures for my Etsy listings now.
tri-color with pearl pink border triangle pendant

turquoise with multicolored border triangle pendant

I used the same colors in my original color explosion peyote cuff. I have a pair of coordinating earrings as well that I'll be listing in the near future.
