back in stock continues

Happy Groundhog Day!  And happy snow day to those of you in the midwest or northeast who have today off work.  I'm not posting any snow pictures because I think a lot of us have already seen plenty of snow this winter.  But I am still unrolling new versions of older designs that I made over Christmas break.  I'm getting to the end of my stack.

Here's the new Button Charm Bracelet - Tortoiseshell Cat.

And here's the newest Beaded Bracelet - Skinny Square Stitch - Raspberry.  On the whole, the skinny square stitch bracelets have not done especially well.  I'm not planning on making a lot more of these this year.  The raspberry one continues to sell, though, so I'll keep making it as long as it keeps selling.

These skinny bracelets are also hard to photograph at flattering angles.  At least the color balance on this latest set is pretty good.  If anyone has any idea for better angles/poses, let me know.

triangles and a reworked design

I sold a pair of peyote triangle earrings on Etsy tonight!  Since they've continued to be so popular, I went ahead and relisted two of my designs.

I am so happy that these continue to be so popular.  The only problem is that the current designs have done so well that I haven't branched out very much.  I will in time, though!

I also revisited a different old design this week and updated the listing tonight.  My skinny raspberry square stitch bracelet is now back in stock.  It's 15% off this month for the Christmas in July sale.

There's nothing like an order to renew your spirits.  My weekend starts tomorrow, and I'm heading into it feeling great!

gift certificate, back in stock, more pictures

I picked up my beads from the Flame class today.  As I'd hoped, there were a couple that I really like and a small handful that will make neat irregular focal pieces.  I'll take pictures of them tomorrow.

I won a $25 gift certificate for artisanclay a couple weeks ago.  You probably already know that I'm a big fan of Kristie's work.  I won one of her ceramic clay donuts a while back, and I also have a set of her ceramic buttons (that I haven't used yet...a tragedy, I know).  I waited until Jake and I got back from the Dells to spend my gift certificate.  My goodies arrived today!  I got the Small Blue recycled glass pendant or charm and the Stoneware clay bead set in Vivid Blue.  I will most likely keep the pendant for myself and wear it on a simple ribbon or chain.  I have a couple ideas for the clay bead set.  More details on that as it comes together.  Thanks Kristie!

I updated the listing for my raspberry and gold right angle bracelet today.  It's officially back in stock!

For those who love my peyote triangle earrings, my purple pearl peyote triangle earrings are also back in stock.

It's interesting going back and taking pictures of older pieces.  Some pieces are really hard to photograph well either, typically because of their shape (my normal "poses" don't work very well) or color.  In those cases, my new photos don't always look that different from the old ones.  But some photos significantly improve.  I'm really happy with the new photos for my blue, turquoise, and white fringed peyote cuff.

raspberry filled fringed peyote cuff

Since I sold the most recent version of the leafy series - autumn, I've been searching for new copper/bronze/gold leaves for a new version. Both of the larger leaves in the one pictured in that listing are no longer available. The best thing that I've found so far are these gold Czech pressed leaves from Fusion Beads. I know that this wouldn't be the same, but do you think it would still work well for this design? I love my vibrant autumn version, but I'd like to continue the original autumn design, too.

I completed my custom order for Sharla (BeadedTail) this week. She wanted a bracelet/cuff that would coordinate with her raspberry filled peyote triangle earrings that she won from me in a blog giveaway. This is what we worked together to design. It will be on its way to her tomorrow or Thursday!

She has already enjoyed the photos. Hopefully she will enjoy the cuff even more in person. :)

raspberry filling

I listed my third pair of earrings today. These are a non-green pair for a change! If you are in the mood for more green earrings, though, and don't want to wait a bit longer to see my next pair here, check out Karen's post from today about her past and present green earrings. Gorgeous!

I posted pictures of these earrings earlier when I was still deciding on a name for them. I decided to go with the suggested fruit theme and call them raspberry filled peyote triangle earrings. Thank you to everyone who helped me reach this decision!

I finished a couple more pairs of earrings this week and finally made a little more progress on one of my cuffs. I should be able to photograph the newly completed items sometime this weekend. I've been feeling a little overwhelmed lately by everything that I have to do at work and for grad school, and it's been sapping a little of my creative energy. I'm determined not to let it get me down too much, though!

heart fringed, Art Beads package

At long last I've made another jewelry piece with some of my Swarovski stash from the Art Beads Blogging program. Like many of my creative endeavors, this does not look like my original vision for this set of beads, particularly the hearts. I am really happy with the final result, though, and will most likely try some variations of it in the future.

If you're interested, you can get the round red Swarovskis and the raspberry bicone Swarovskis from Art Beads by clicking on the names. They also have lots of new XILION Bicones, including these gorgeous Dark Indigo ABs.

While I'm on the subject of Art Beads, I got a surprise package from them this weekend. It included a 2010 Art Beads calendar, a $20 gift card for Art Beads, and a 10% share the savings card for Art Beads, all for being part of the Blogging for Beads program!

It's too bad that I didn't have any new items to photograph at this point in the weekend because the weather was gorgeous and the lighting was AMAZING. I also got a shot of my favorite picture from the calendar. I'm sure that you can figure out why I like it so much.

I already spent my gift card. I will share a picture of my goodies when they arrive. :)

remakes

I updated the listing for my purple shell beads bracelet today. It's now back in stock!

I also updated the listing for my double stranded raspberry right angle bracelet this week. I have two of these in stock now. The shorter one has gold cubes, and the longer one has silver-lined Tohos, which were what I used in the original version. They both have button clasps now.

I had conferences at school this past week, and then Jake and I spent most of the weekend with family so I've only finished one piece since last weekend. I have made progress on a few bigger projects/pieces, though. I also received some wonderful goodies in the mail that I'll be posting about soon. :)
