R is for Reflection

Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!

Reflection is another Alphabe theme that I'm repeating. If you've been following my blog for a while, you know that through much of 2013, I was really into photographing reflections. I don't find myself shooting them quite as often these days, but I got inspired to shoot a set on an exceptionally wet day last month. Enjoy.

February in Milwaukee

Actually February in Milwaukee this year has been much like December and January with massive amounts of cold and snow. We were pitifully grateful to get a couple days of more typical February weather last week with 30+ degree temperatures and sunny skies. I found a little time to get out and enjoy it.

If you're ready for a change of pace and some pictures without snow, check out what this area looks like in late spring.

photo feature: walking on the ice

I've been out walking on the ice that forms on Lake Michigan in the winter twice this winter. I actually shared the second excursion on Thursday with my Lake Michigan post. I'm sharing the first one today, which was back in December. Enjoy.

Are you curious about what this place looks like in the summer? Check it out over here!

Have you been taking any cold weather pictures lately?

photo share: first 13/14 snow

So we got our first 2013-14 snow this past week. That seems way too early. It's really not for this part of the country, but it was still something of a shock. The good news is that it usually doesn't stick around too long in November, and it made for some good photo opportunities.

Has it snowed in your area yet this season?
