Milwaukee's Three Bridges Park

During my recent trip to the Mitchell Park Domes (see Tuesday's post), I visited the eastern edge of Three Bridges Park, which is right behind the conservatory. The park really does have three bridges, but all of these pictures are of the far eastern bridge, again, right behind the Domes.

Last week I made a brief stop at the Mitchell Park Domes to check out the summer floral show: Practically Perfect in Every Way. The conservatory has three domes, one of which they switch out with different exhibits a few times a year. It's always fun to visit the permanent exhibits and then check out the newest attraction in the show dome.

Whenever I have my DSLR out at home, I seem to end up taking a few (and by few, I really mean a lot) of pictures of my cats. As I've mentioned before, Hobbes has so much energy that it's been hard to get more than a few snaps of him when he's not sleeping, particularly with the DSLR. Last week I was lucky enough to get a great round up of shots of him.

Of course I couldn't take pictures of Hobbes without taking a few pictures of Apollo, my ever present photo taking helper and total natural in front of the camera.

I'm Not a Pilot at Regner Park

As many of you know, just one of the numerous fun things to do in Milwaukee during the summer is listen to live music, often for free and outdoors. While I've heard a number of bands here over the past few years, most often I'm checking out an event because I'm Not a Pilot is there. The inaugural Homegrown festival at Regner Park in West Bend, WI last month was no exception.
