joining the world of Filofax

Since the beginning of 2015, I've been thinking about overhauling my organizational system. None of my paper and pen tactics that I've been using since I started freelancing are working particularly well right now, and I've been really unhappy with the latest updates to the Google calendar app. So it was time to switch gears. After extensive research, I decided to purchase a Filofax Personal Finsbury. I'm still using a spiral notebook alongside it with a more streamlined approach for the notebook content.

I did a write up about setting it up over on HubPages. I'm hoping to share follow up thoughts after I've been using it for a few months.

Does anyone else use a Filofax or another ring binder planner? Feel free to share your insight in the comments!

  1. Organization is still somewhere I have trouble. I find myself still using little pieces of paper to take notes. And I have 15 notebooks with different thing/ideas written in them! You'll have to be sure to let us know how you like this.
LOVE the cover you chose :)

  2. I've honestly never even heard of Filofax! I used to use a planner all the time in high school, and it looked sort of similar (only far less intense). This year I did print out a basic blog planner and put it in a three ring binder, mostly so I have somewhere to write down ideas so I can stop forgetting how I made things or what tutorial I planned to do next! I hope your new organizational system works well for you =)

  3. Man, that really does keep track of everything! I use a day planner that has a large area for my to do list everyday, and then each month has its own "at a glance" calendar for keeping track of my blog posts. Now that I've seen yours, though, I wish I had a better system for my coupons. Haha.

  4. I have heard of the Filofax, but never saw one being used. So, it was fun to see how you are using yours. Honestly, I don't use a planner, but instead various apps on my iPhone
