R is for Renaissance Faire

Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!

Attending the Bristol Renaissance Faire is one of the oldest traditions that Jake and I have as a couple. It was one of the first things that we ever did together, and we've been going back as many years as possible since then. Today I'm sharing some pictures from this summer's excursion. You can also revisit pictures from 2011, 2012, and 2013 if you like. Enjoy.

Check out what the other Alphabe Thursday participants posted for the letter R this week right here!

photo share: another summer tradition

In addition to our Renaissance Fair tradition, Jake and I also got to do newer tradition last month: Lobster Fest. Some friends of ours in Milwaukee have been hosting it for a number of years, and we've been lucky/fortunate (not really sure of the best word here) to attend twice now. Some of you may remember that it inspired me to write an article last year.

This is the first set of photos that I shot in RAW and edited with Lightroom. I've had a huge backlog of photos all summer and have been doing my best to keep editing the larger sets (things like Etsy listing photos don't count) in chronological order. I broke my rule to do this set, though. Enjoy.

First ever Lobster Fest games.

One of our friends is really sweet about making sure that I get to be in at least one of the pictures. (And Jake won the lobster crawl, which is why he's wearing the medal.)

Do you have any summer traditions?
