leafy feature: the Valentine's Day edition (for the EtsyBloggers)

One of the blog carnival topics for the EtsyBloggers this week is love, in honor of Valentine's Day quickly approaching.  Today is actually my dating anniversary so I thought it would be fitting to feature leafy Valentine's items.  All of these pieces would be wonderful gifts for a special girl!  Even though Jake and I celebrate our wedding anniversary now, our dating anniversary is still a neat milestone.  We've been together nine years now.  Enjoy!

new button pieces

In addition to making new button charm bracelets, I've been working on a couple more button projects this week.

One of my promotions for Christmas is that every order through Dec. 18 comes with a free pair of these Christmas button stud earrings.  I've been going through them quickly and just got an order for a single pair of them yesterday so I've been making more.

I want to have some new button magnets for my stash before I set up my work for my co-workers next week.  My larger buttons and buttons with novelty shapes (stars, hearts, clouds, etc.) keep selling out so I've been working on a few new designs.

The pair in the back are pretty dark, but the bottom buttons are a gorgeous shade of teal.  I've picked out some more clouds and stars to work with, too.

heart fringed, Art Beads package

At long last I've made another jewelry piece with some of my Swarovski stash from the Art Beads Blogging program. Like many of my creative endeavors, this does not look like my original vision for this set of beads, particularly the hearts. I am really happy with the final result, though, and will most likely try some variations of it in the future.

It's too bad that I didn't have any new items to photograph at this point in the weekend because the weather was gorgeous and the lighting was AMAZING. I also got a shot of my favorite picture from the calendar. I'm sure that you can figure out why I like it so much.


I already spent my gift card. I will share a picture of my goodies when they arrive. :)
