I received a couple of Etsy packages this week.
The first was from Kristie (artisanclay). I got the smoke fired ceramic donut that I won on her blog giveaway. I will get a picture of it sometime, but it looks a lot like this medium gray and black donut. I also got this set of turquoise shank buttons. I think that I can do something amazing with one of them and a set of blue dotted barrel beads like that ones that I used in this bracelet. Kristie has shank buttons in other colors available in her shop. She just posted a ton of cabochons on her flickrstream, too, that you need to check out.
The second was from Yvonne (yjja123). I got the beautiful fused glass pendant that I traded for. The colors are even more amazing in person than they are in the pictures.
Thanks ladies!

Thanksgiving week happenings
I hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving! I finished my December EBW Challenge Peace Piece this week. Today was the first sunny day all week, and I got some pictures of it. I still need to take pictures of the matching triangle pendant, but I'm planning to list the peace cuff tomorrow.
I had a sale on Etsy this week, which is always exciting. I then sold the same bracelet to my brother (for his girlfriend for Christmas) yesterday. I made one up for him while he was in town so he could take it with him. I should have made two of them while I had everything out so I'd have another one to list right away, but I didn't. It won't be hard to work up again in the future, though. Also this week, I traded with Yvonne (yjja123) who is trading for as many of her Christmas presents as possible this year. We traded successfully this time last year, and I was excited to hear from her again. I can't wait to see my pendant. Finally, I selected my smoke fired pendant from Kristie (artisanclay) that I won in her blog giveaway. It's in transit now with a couple ceramic buttons that I ordered from her. I'm excited to see those items as well. :)
I got my latest Blogging for Beaders' Art Beads stash on Friday. Here's a picture of my goodies, minus one set of hearts that are backordered. They are all from the new Cubic Zirconia section of Art Beads, which is a departure from the Swarovski section that I've visited for my previous blogging goodies.
I started a cuff tonight that will have a similar base to that of my Peace Piece, but it will be red. I'm attempting to work from the containers instead of mixing everything like I normally do.

remake, hottest treasury spot
I listed this remake yesterday. I sold the original design back in July and thought that the design was well worth repeating.
For the second time this year, I made it into a treasury that reached the hottest spot in Treasury West! Right now it's Vicki's Bloggers Exposed treasury. The comments space filled up quite a while ago, but you can still click on the items for another 20 hours or so by clicking here. Thank you for the support everyone!

because I couldn't really be done with leaves
While I'm on a treasury kick this week, I managed to snag a treasury west tonight. This is the first time that I've curated a treasury since this summer. I happened to check into treasury west about an hour before it was going to open. I need to have the first draft of my research proposal for my master's finished by Thanksgiving. Since I still have a fair amount of work to do on it before then, I figured it would work out perfectly to write more of my proposal while I waited. And it did work out on both accounts. :)
Before I post the treasury information, I'll briefly mention that if anyone would be willing to read my proposal draft this week before I submit it, I would really appreciate it. If you have some experience with APA style, that would be especially helpful. The research is going to be about using visuals with students with autism. I don't like to post a lot of non-jewelry/Etsy related topics here, especially if they have to do with school/work. This is one of my places to get away from that after all. But I would appreciate any help I can get with this. Thank you!
I normally keep a poster sketch ready in case I see one of the treasuries opening at the last minute, but I haven't done one since the summer. So I decided to put together a leafy treasury. Even though I have featured lots of leafy items here, I haven't included too many in my treasuries. Most of these items have already been featured here previously, but a few of them are new items by Etsy sellers who already sold the items featured here. Enjoy!
You can view my before autumn is over treasury by CLICKING HERE until Wednesday November 25 at 11:51AM EST.

Etsy Bloggers Exposed
Vicki (VickiDianeDesigns) generously offered to make one of her Artists Exposed treasuries for the EtsyBloggers team. I got my modified item URL submitted in time for it. I chose my green rock garden bracelet. She managed to snag a treasury today. The comments section has already filled up, but you can still support the treasury by clicking on the items.
This is the second time that I've been in one of Vicki's Exposed treasuries but the first time that I've gotten a screen shot of it.
You can view the treasury by CLICKING HERE until Tuesday November 24 at 7:09PM EST. Thanks Vicki!

treasury feature
I am so honored to be included in Kelly's Strawberry Shortcake Delight treasury. Kelly featured my color explosion peyote cuff, making this its second treasury appearance. Kelly (KreatedByKelly) created this treasury under her new shop TheHandmadeHome. KreatedByKelly is now her shop for all things wedding, and TheHandmadeHome is her shop for all home decor. Go check them both out if you haven't already! Yes, I am a huge Kelly fan. :)
And now for the treasury. It has not gotten a lot of hits or clicks yet so please check it out!
You can visit it live by CLICKING HERE until Sunday November 22 11:25AM EST.

a remake listing and a few other random things
Congratulations to the November EBW Challenge winner grakowsky with her Hibiscus Necklace! I am in awe of everyone who participated in this challenge because it was simply not something that my bead weaving skills are up to (at this point anyway). Absolutely gorgeous entries! Good luck to everyone who is also working on a piece for the December challenge right now. :)
Lisa (Alterity Art) is featuring the first in a series of Christmas giveaways on her blog right now. The first person featured is giving away a lovely set of handmade coasters. You can check out all of the details on her blog by clicking here.
I finally completed a sale today with a college friend that I started back in August. That is rather ridiculous I know, but at least it's finally squared away. One more sold item cleared out of my Etsy inventory!
I listed a remake today. I created the original version early in the summer and sold it before I could list it on Etsy. It's now back and listed here. This was a tougher design to create and bead than it looks like. The first one drove me a little crazy because it made me a little dizzy haha. The second time around went much smoother.

weekend progress/happenings
I didn't list anything this weekend after the Valentine's Day bracelet, but here are some pictures of a few other things that have been going on.
Posting the sneak peak pictures of my champagne/blue fringe cuff back at the beginning of October definitely inspired me to work on it more. Here is how much I have left. I just might finish it before Christmas!
Here is a picture of how the base of my "Peace Piece" for the next EBW Challenge is coming along. I restarted it twice which is why I'm not further along than I am. Thankfully the challenge piece isn't due until Dec. 5 so I still have plenty of time.
I finished my newest batch of magnets. All except the top one (which I'm keeping) are going to be part of my Christmas present for my two aides at school. Our district's colors are purple, teal, white, and gray. You all know how much I love teal/turquoise and how much I've been into purple this past year so I figured it would be a good choice on a couple levels. One of my aides also loves the purple/orange color combination so I made a few of those for her set.
I would like to do a pink/green/white set and a black/white set next, both for Christmas presents. :)
I got my most recent Art Bead's package on Saturday, thanks to my $20 gift card. I know that the cube beads on the top left look weird. They're both gold-lined beads.
Finally, my husband took some pictures of me with our cat Angel today. I don't post a lot of pictures of myself because I'm the one who's usually taking the pictures. Thus, I don't have a lot of myself. Here are a couple for you, though. I'm sure that most of you won't even notice this, but I feel like I should point out that my wedding ring is being repaired right now which is why I'm not wearing it.
Enjoy the last part of your weekend! :)

wrong holiday
I relisted my Valentine's Day button charm bracelet this weekend. I know that it's not really the right time of year for that, but since it's ready, I figured that I would go ahead.
I do have a couple Christmas pieces that I previewed here last year but never listed on Etsy (because I made them the week before the holiday) that I will be listing this month. :)

blog award, giveaway, new goodies
Duni of Lovely Purses gave me this award today. :)
Thanks Duni! I just gave out the Circle of Friends award a couple weeks ago so I don't think I will be passing this one on to anyone, but I still really appreciate it.
Kristie of Artisan Clay is having a sale right now in honor of her hopefully soon 300th sale on Etsy. You can get all of the information about the sale as well as a giveway she's having on her blog. The specific entry is right here. I have not bought anything from Kristie yet, but if I don't win the giveaway, I may have to cave!
I received my first pieces ever from Lisa of LisaPetersArt this weekend. This was not an Etsy order but some pieces that I requested from her Flickr photostream.
I already have a plan for the smaller brown rectangle. I normally try to make the clasps on my leafy bracelets blend in with the bracelets, but I think that I'm going to have to make an exception for one with one of Lisa's leaf beads. I'm thinking about a green/pink one, kind of like my original version, for it. Lisa has many amazing items on Etsy, but she has even more on Flickr so I highly recommend checking out her photostream as well.
I got my newest pieces from Jenn of blueseraphim the beginning of this week. I got a set of funky nuggets and a set of assorted caramel beads. All gorgeous! They look even more amazing in person than they do in the pictures. I also got my freebie necklace with one of these mocha ruffles from my previous order coupon.
I think that's it for splurging for a while, at least until I get another sale on Etsy and have some more money in my PayPal account. :)

heart fringed, Art Beads package
At long last I've made another jewelry piece with some of my Swarovski stash from the Art Beads Blogging program. Like many of my creative endeavors, this does not look like my original vision for this set of beads, particularly the hearts. I am really happy with the final result, though, and will most likely try some variations of it in the future.
If you're interested, you can get the round red Swarovskis and the raspberry bicone Swarovskis from Art Beads by clicking on the names. They also have lots of new XILION Bicones, including these gorgeous Dark Indigo ABs.
While I'm on the subject of Art Beads, I got a surprise package from them this weekend. It included a 2010 Art Beads calendar, a $20 gift card for Art Beads, and a 10% share the savings card for Art Beads, all for being part of the Blogging for Beads program!
It's too bad that I didn't have any new items to photograph at this point in the weekend because the weather was gorgeous and the lighting was AMAZING. I also got a shot of my favorite picture from the calendar. I'm sure that you can figure out why I like it so much.
I already spent my gift card. I will share a picture of my goodies when they arrive. :)

remakes
I updated the listing for my purple shell beads bracelet today. It's now back in stock!
I also updated the listing for my double stranded raspberry right angle bracelet this week. I have two of these in stock now. The shorter one has gold cubes, and the longer one has silver-lined Tohos, which were what I used in the original version. They both have button clasps now.
I had conferences at school this past week, and then Jake and I spent most of the weekend with family so I've only finished one piece since last weekend. I have made progress on a few bigger projects/pieces, though. I also received some wonderful goodies in the mail that I'll be posting about soon. :)
