Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!
Today I'm sharing some pictures from the annual Family Kite Festival, which is held in late May in Veterans Park on Milwaukee's lake front. Enjoy.
Check out what the other Alphabe Thursday participants posted for the letter K this week right here!
Kites are so fun! Great captures of the families enjoying the day!
ReplyDeleteKites were were the first thing we got out in the Spring. I think you could buy one at the candy store for a dime or something - and then you raided your mothers sewing box for a tail and off you went to the nearest wide street (so as to avoid utility lines and trees) and had a go...fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a festival and your photos are amazing!
ReplyDeleteDear Rose, This looks like fun. I love the song from Mary Poppins; Let's Go Fly a Kite!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Catherine
Kites are so much fun - especially when you make them yourself!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Kites are so fancy these days. My grandfather and I made kites out of day old newspaper, sticks, and string and they flew fine. Thanks for the happy memories.
ReplyDeleteWow! What fun and fantastic photography for K ~ thanks,

what a fun family activity. And so colorful. {:-D
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!! I used to love to fly kites as a kid. It was easy to find places without trees or power lines on the prairie -- and there was usually PLENTY of wind! Love all the colorful varieties you photographed.
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I remember seeing a big kite field up in Rhode Island once and it was really neat. I love that first photo of the kit sign!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome festival to attend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun festival!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat festival!
ReplyDeleteI've been to a few of these on Oregon beaches.
I've never been quite able to master flying a kite though.
Maybe someday!
Thanks for a klever link for the letter K.
