treasury feature, craigslist, possible custom order

Sarah (eclecticarmadillo) included my tri-green button charm bracelet in her "Christmas in July"...Cool Off with Hot Specials! treasury.  I love the color combination that she put together in this collection.

You can view this treasury live by CLICKING HERE.

My button charm bracelet is 15% off for Christmas in July.  I moved all of my button charm bracelets into the button bracelets section in my Etsy shop today to make room for a Christmas in July section.  You can still search for "Christmas in July" or "cij" in my shop, but this will make it easier for everyone.

I will do more personal promotion for the sale as the month progresses.  The official dates for it on Etsy are the 15th-25th so I'm not in a big hurry.

On another subject, I listed my last stash of Proactiv on Craigslist today.  As you know, I like listing things through Amazon, but I can't for this, so I figured I'd try Craigslist.  You can check out the listing here.  As you may remember, earlier this spring, I tried Proactiv.  It does work and for a while, it was what I needed.  However, it is way too drying for my skin and has a counterproductive result for my rosacea.  So I'm not going to continue to use it.  (Thankfully I have found some other products that will continue to keep acne away while providing more gentle, rosacea friendly care.)  It is not a bad product, though.  For those with not so sensitive skin with a straight acne problem, it is well worth the money.  All of the products I have are brand new and not opened.  I mention shipping charges in the listing, but if I know you, I won't charge you for them.  You can contact me here or through Craigslist.  Please feel free to pass the listing onto anyone else you know who may be interested.  I'd really like to get rid of this stuff.

Craigslist is a pretty amazing site.  While I was on there today, I browsed some other listings in the Iowa City area.  I couldn't believe how many people were offering pianos for less than $500.  We don't have room for a piano right now, but hopefully we will in our next place (in another year or two).  I will start looking more seriously then.

Finally, I may have a custom order!  Someone contacted me about one on Etsy tonight.  We still need work out the details, but it's very exciting to have something in the works again.

  1. custom order are a little nerve wracking, but nice to know someone things enough of your work. I'm looked at Craig's list before. It's amazing what people are "giving" away!

  2. Craigslist can be great. I just hate all the spam that comes with it!
Congrats on the custom order :)

  3. I agree, Deb. I really want someone to have another simple Etsy order again where someone just buys one of my items without any questions. It's been quite a while! I'm pretty happy for any kind of order at this point, though.

People keep warning me about the Craigslist spam. Hopefully I won't get too much of it. I don't plan on listing (or buying) lots of things from it.
