C is for Chicago

Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!

Many of you know that I'm from Chicago. I've been taking pictures of it for years but have only gotten back there a few times since I got my SLR. Jake and I had a little time to wonder Millennium Park and that area of town this past weekend before we saw Book of Mormon. I took an almost completely set of black and white photos. Enjoy.

Check out what the other Alphabe participants posted this week for the letter C right here!

  5. I absolutely love that silver dome photo, along with the one of the streetlamp juxtaposed next to the building. Alas, I'm a sucker for black and white photography anyways. Nice job!

  6. Seems that several people I know have been to Chicago lately. It has been 20 years since I have been. I know my children would love the museums. I love your black and white shots here!

  9. I love the architecture in Chicago. I was born there, but moved as a toddler, then back, then gone for good at 6. My son went to the University of Chicago and, until last year, I still had an aunt there, so, visited from time to time. What a beautiful city that you have captured in these photos.

  15. Great photos Rose! When I first moved out to the country I had so much fun photographing farms, horses, barns, etc. But I think my heart is in the city. We made a drive out there not too long ago and I got a lot of city pics. I think I'm getting used to the country and now my passion is city life and old buildings.

Love the way you used black and white photos.

  16. I used to work in the Prudential building, which is across the street from Millennium Park, so this takes me back. On nice days I'd go read outside during lunch. Walking to the train in the snow was lame, but on nice days like this I really miss being there all the time.
