Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!
As I considered all of the food photography that I've done the past couple years, eggs seemed to come up more frequently than many other foods. So I decided to go with it for the letter E.
January 2012, for a "one dozen" Scavenger Hunt prompt
Also January 2012, I cracked two double yokes that month.
April 2012
I only make two kinds of eggs: scrambled and hard boiled. I'm sure that I could learn to make other kinds, but it hasn't happened yet.
January 2013, during the prep for a social event that involved pound cake
I hard boiled eggs this past week and took the opportunity to get a few photos of them for this post.
June 2013
Check out what the other Alphabe participants posted this week for the letter E right here!
Fun E-post! The yellow yolks in the white bowl look like a flower :)
ReplyDeleteEggs are yum! We fix them every way possible -- this morning we had poached eggs! Love that last pic with the egg ring in the middle!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Egg shots! I like the black & whites. =0)

I haven't gotten a double yolk in so long. Two in one month is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteEggs in every form from start to finish...fun idea!
ReplyDeleteVery creative egg shots Rose! This was a fun E post!
ReplyDeleteTwo double yolks in one month? Wow! I honestly never thought I'd see cool photos of eggs, but you just did it!
ReplyDeletelooks delicious! the only thing I know how to cook eggs into is to throw them into a pan and hope they cook right.
ReplyDeletehope you have a sweet day.
I love eggs cooked all sorts of ways. Great "E" post and photos.
ReplyDeleteI love eggs, so many uses for them!
ReplyDeleteyour pound cake eggs are so pretty! And the macro pic of the fried eggs is neat! Great shots! {:-D
ReplyDeleteLoved your egg shots! I love eggs! Had some deviled eggs today, after teaching my grandson how to fix them!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your photos even make eggs look pretty!! (We had 1000 chickens when I was growing up, and every afternoon after school I had to wash and sort and pack hundreds of eggs.)
ReplyDeleteI love eggs in any form except hard boiled on their own , I can eat it in small amounts when in a potato salad but thats it my favourite way to eat eggs is within a victoria sandwich
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, I just ate an egg! I only scramble them, too. I'm really not a fan of the fried variety because runny yolks weird me out.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea for this E post. Fun picks!
ReplyDeletefun photos!
ReplyDeleteYour eggs made me think of a different kind of use. When I was in college we cracked open eggs and dissected embryos at different stages. Of course those were fertilized eggs. very interesting.
You're going to laugh at my comment, but you make ordinary eggs look sexy with your photos! That being said, the only things I do with eggs is scramble, fry or boil them...and of course include them in recipes.
ReplyDeleteEggcellent "E" post! :) ~Ames
ReplyDeleteA photo study of just one ordinary thing can be so interesting! Love this one!
ReplyDeleteI never knew eggs could look so extraordinary...
ReplyDeletePerhaps the exceptional photography skills played a part in that!
Exciting post for the letter "E".
