P is for Palm Trees

Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!

Some of you know that my husband and I were on vacation in Las Vegas last week. It was an extremely nice break from the ridiculous winter weather. Of course I took a lot of pictures while we were there. It's going to take me weeks to go through all of them, but I'm starting with a little set of palm tree photos today. If you've been to Las Vegas, I'm sure that you know that there are palm trees all over the strip. Enjoy.

Check out what the other Alphabe Thursday participants posted for the letter P this week right here!

  1. I had no idea Vegas had palm trees until I visited there. I just never thought of it as "tropical" I guess. But they were so nice to see :)
Your photos definitely have me craving warmer weather!

  2. My human grew up in southern California and it's weird to her when she travels and there are no palm trees.

  5. I didn't realize Las Vegas had palm trees either. I guess it doesn't get too cold there. We have palm trees here which sometimes surprises people. I guess they think of Houston as the wild west, but it's semi-tropical.

  6. Palm trees are most interesting! I've seen them in Vegas but since I'm a Southern girl, I'm more used to them in Florida!

  8. I grew up with palm trees, and it is nice to see them again, since I no longer live in an area that has them! Thanks for the memories!

  9. There are so many species of palm trees. There are date palms, and coconut palms, and there are palms in Africa that have nuts on them that the elephants love to eat. I have used the date sticks from those palms to weave baskets, Then, there are sooo many more! Thanks for such a nice post!!!!
