regrouping and some spring yard photos

So I unintentionally took a week off of blogging at the beginning this month. It's the first time that I've taken a week off from this blog since I started it back in late 2008, which is nothing short of a miracle. Then I took another week off to get back into a scheduling posts routine so that I wouldn't be scrambling to get back on track. I could have pushed to get right back into it, but I just didn't feel like doing that to myself at this point. And here we are. I'm starting off simple with some pictures that I took of spring right in my own yard earlier this month. Enjoy.

What's been going on your way lately?

  1. I'm a fan of the occasional blog break. Even if I only take a few days off, I come back feeling refreshed.

Let's see... as for what's been going on with me, the biggest news is that our upstairs bathroom is done! (Or done for now, since nothing I do is ever really DONE.) I have it on the blog today. Otherwise, I was just waiting for the rain to stop. :-)

  2. I love the little purple flowers that look like they're made up of tiny balls! I hope the time off helps you focus, relax, and regroup. =)

  3. Glad to have your back Rose :) A bloggy break is nice from time to time.
Great photos! Love both the purple flowers.

  4. Let yourself break - sometimes it's totally necessary. I love the floral shots - this time of year is the best :)

  5. Most everything here has bloomed already. Except the Rhoaddies and azaleas. Lovely pictures!

  6. Your photos are beautiful! Love the purple flowers, of course. But you make even a dandelion look good! Everybody needs a little time away to recharge our creative batteries, I think.

  8. Your photos are a breath of fresh air, which is exactly what you were doing by taking a blogging break. Although I think it's admirable that you haven't taken a break before this, I am guessing that it's a good idea for everyone to do so, once in a while. You come back with a fresh perspective!
