F is for (Storm) Fronts

Are you ready for another round of Alphabe Thursday? Let's go!

There are not a lot of things that I miss about living in Iowa, but one of them is the big sky. You can always see the storms coming in, which is terrifying when they're big snow storms but pretty cool when they're thunderstorms. I would love to try to get shots of this nature with my SLR someday, but for now, I'm sharing what I did take when I lived there. Enjoy.

All of that dirt is on the car window, but you the big jagged gray in the back is storm clouds.

One of the best, if not also most chilling, views that I ever had driving to and from work in Iowa.

Of course one of the best parts about the big sky effect with storms is the aftermath.

Check out what the other Alphabe Thursday participants posted for for the letter F this week right here!

  5. that's one thing I enjoy about the Oklahoma weather: seeing the fronts coming in, whether they are thunderheads from the south or cold fronts from the north. Such calming pink skies, after the storm! {:-D
