photo share: Thanksgiving dinner

My brother and his now wife decided to have their rehearsal dinner on Thanksgiving (the day before the wedding) for all of the family that was in town. There were 30 people in attendance, and my parents, husband, and I made the entire dinner. This is undoubtedly one of the largest dinners any of us will prepare any time in the foreseeable future, but everything came together really nicely. Somehow I was able to get some pictures of it, too. Enjoy.

  1. I think your brother and his wife picked such a smart weekend to get married. All of your family is (hopefully) going to be together, anyway, so you might as well have the wedding then! Brilliant. Wish we'd thought of it.

And hats off to you for handling all of that food! I believe the most people I've ever cooked for is 10, and that was borderline hysteria.

  2. Dear Rose, That is wonderful that you all made the dinner. It is so much better and so much savings!!. It is incredible the cost to have a dinner catered!!
It is also most importantly a gesture of your love.
I wish you a very Happy and Blessed New Year dear friend. Hugs, Catherine xo

  5. It looks really good! I come from a family of 7 so when we, spouses, children and grandkids converge on our parents it is always more than 30 people. We all pitch in and it is not as organized as your looks! LOL. We have learned to have the big people eat first and then call the little kids as they are always too busy playing and we have to track them all down anyways! Yay for family!
