Scavenger Hunt and I Heart Macro on Monday (11/19/12)

Welcome to another edition of the photo Scavenger Hunt and I Heart Macro!

1) Vision
Jake and I don't wear any kind of glasses or contacts, but this little guy does. You can get your own over here.

2) Strong
I've been making lots of button magnets and rings this past week for my final 2012 holiday shows, which has involved using a lot of E-6000.

3) Buttons
These bracelet design has been doing well this fall so I've been photographing and tagging all of the newer button bracelets that have been sitting in my "to photograph" box forever. Whatever doesn't sell during the next few weeks will be available in my shop by early 2013. Let me know if there is anything that you want.

I'm also using this as my photo for I Heart Macro this week.

4) Map
It drives me crazy how many people rely solely on GPS and smartphone devices to get driving directions. It is very difficult to learn your way around a new place that way. This is almost always what my directions look like when I'm going somewhere new. I look up the directions and check the map before I write down the directions.

5) Favorite Fruit
I took this picture back in the summer when the fresh fruit choices were much more abundant. This one of my favorite guilty summer pleasures: fruit with sour cream.

Here is your weekly does of Angel.
This is one of the last pictures that I took before we got the Halloween decorations taken down and stored away for next year.

Check out Ashley's blog to see what other people submitted for the themes this week.

  1. I'm one of those GPS-only people, and it's totally bitten me in the butt a few times. Now I've gone back to writing it down, too.

That little guy with the glasses is adorable! I've worn glasses or contacts since I was 5; you're lucky to not need them yet!

  2. I LOVE that glue! it is my go-to stuff when dealing with wayward beady projects! and discovered that it works well on beach glass :O

  4. Great pic of your map...My maps look the same! I don't use GPS - those things confuse me (they're not always right). I always write down my directions. =0)
I also love your fruit photo. Mmmmm....

  10. Nice photos this week! I'm with you- I always look up directions and write them down. M always makes fun of me for not even printing them, but I want them written the way I want them!! LOL. Now that I've got an iphone, it's easier not to do it that way, but I still need to study the map to know where the heck I'm going!

Are those plums on that sour cream? That's one of my favorites too!

  11. E-6000 is awesome stuff.
I don't use GPS at all. I usually look directions up on mapquest and then print them out.

  12. I've never heard of E-6000 but sounds like I need to! I write down directions unless we're out and about and need to find something and then obviously all I have is the GPS or my phone. Angel finds the funniest spots to nap! She's so cute!

  13. Your little spectacled guy is cute :)
I'm guilty of using my phone to get me to new places!
Is Angel on the mail floor? She found a cozy little place to nap :)

  18. Great photos Rose! Your button bracelet is very cute and I love the colors. I'm with you, I would much rather write down the direction then use GPS, at least that way I know I will be able to find my way back.
