happy birthday to me

Today is my 28th birthday.  Knowing that we'll be heading to Milwaukee in just a couple months is pretty much all I need to make this next year of my life great.  As you already know, we have a lot of exciting possibilities there.  I really didn't know what to ask for this year as we're trying to get rid of as much as possible before we move.  But I've gotten a lot of nice smaller things from my family, including a set of drilled sea glass from Kristina's shop (akkricket).
I love her items.  I used some of her glass in this piece.  I have no idea what I'll use these next pieces for yet, but I'm sure that it will be amazing when I do.

I'm also in a new treasury.  Katarzyna (Kailajewellery) included my Beaded Cuff Bracelet - Dagger Fringed - Pink Garden in her New Season treasury.

  6. Happy Birthday, Rose! I hope you are doing something fun today.
The sea glass is cool. I just collected some while on my recent vacation in the Caribbean. thinking about what to do with the pieces... don't, at this point, know how to drill the glass. Perhaps I will "cage" some of them in wire.
lovely bracelet using sea glass that you linked here!

  8. Happitty Birfday Rose...LOL You are younger than my oldest! So nice to see youngun's with plans and doing well for themselves.

I just love sea/beach glass, have a HUGE collection. Going to have to check out the shop you got your pieces from.

  9. Thanks much for the birthday wishes EtsyBloggers!

Margaret, I don't know how to drill my own glass either. Kristina sent a few pieces that aren't drilled with my set. I may wire wrap them into simple pendants (my wrapping skills are pretty limited).

Haha thanks Re! You should definitely check out her shop.

  11. Happy Birthday! Beads piked by someone else are such a great gift that provides intrigue and challenge and a great excuse to play with beads on your birthday!

  12. Thanks Anitra, Sparkle, and Jessica! I included Kristina's shop in a birthday wish list post that I made earlier this month so it wasn't a total surprise. But I still enjoy seeing what items people are drawn to from a list like that.
