We don't need this lamp for anything in particular so it hasn't been a high priority for me. Aside from the broken shade, it still worked perfectly. Some people would have been crafty enough to fix it, but honestly the shade was so old and faded that I was happier to just replace it. This was still a very easy, inexpensive fix.
Eventually I would like to get a side table for our guest bedroom and put it in there. For now, it's hanging out in the living room with our new Christmas card books.
Personally I am not a huge fan of pink and like the pink/white contrast instead of all pink. However, the white is pretty plain. Maybe it needs some detail or decoration at some point. I didn't even have to go on a Pinterest lamp shade search to find some awesome lamp shade options this past week just through routine pinning and Pinterest article research.
Did you know that you can dye lampshades really easily?
Unfortunately this is a Tumblr image, not a real tutorial or blog post, but it's still a cute idea.
I am not planning to make this, but it's a great idea. For those who are interested, there is a detailed tutorial.
This is not from Pinterest but is from Alisa Burke's blog that I read every day. As always, she is so creative!
What am I planning on doing? If I do anything, it will probably be something simple that I can Mod Podge and that may involve buttons.
Have you tackled any simple house projects that you were putting off until recently? Or have you decorated lampshades before? Share your ideas!
I included this post in Erika's It's a Wrap Link Party 3/5/2012.
