First, here is a recap of the many of the new summer related food and drink articles that I wrote this year. This will give you an idea how I structure my articles. I do write a number of articles that relate to specific holidays, but I also write a lot of articles geared toward specific seasons that are likely to get traffic year round. For example, an article about lemonade will get most of its traffic during warmer weather but will continue to get hits in other seasons as well.

As a "foodie" I love reading about new recipes. Must check out the homemade Lemonade :)
ReplyDeleteYou had a lot of great summer food articles!
ReplyDeleteHere are some things I think of in terms of fall food: squash, soups, crock pot meals, hot chocolate (or other warm drinks). Tailgating is another food even you could write about...what to bring, how to serve it, etc.
I look forward to your fall articles :)
Yum, those look delicious. I would love to see one-pot meals for fall. Once school starts, we need fast and easy.
ReplyDeleteYou know, the pumpkin one reminded me of a challenge I posed to myself last fall: to buy a pumpkin & cook with it. I tried a handfull of recipes & most of them were great. I think sometimes it's easier and better to work with the canned stuff, but sometimes it's really not. This is something most people don't do, and it's so easy. Perhaps you could add a sort of farm to table angle on the article? If that's too close to what you already wrote, what about something like the diversity of squash- varieties & recipes. Or, picking apples from an orchard & making apple sauce, apple deserts, and other dishes?
ReplyDeleteOh...I LOVe Edi's idea about tailgating foods:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great group of summer ideas. Now let's see. In the fall when the weather turns to the chilly side I always thinks about a big pot of beans, or a great stew. Food that warms the tummy. Along with some great bread and you have a fabulous meal.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day Rose. :)
Tailgating foods would be a good one! And I like ones of cool drinks that do not involve alcohol.
ReplyDeleteGreat food articles! I am especially fond of the Iced Coffee Alcoholic Recipe section. ;D
ReplyDeleteWell for fall anything that comes from the garden, squash, zucchini, things to do with tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteOf course with colder weather I start thinking about soups and crock pot meals
when I think of cooler weather, I think of soups. That would be a nice couple of topics. And everyone is thinking about health and good clean ways of living - baths, massage, eating right, exercise. I think that's one think I'd be interested in reading. Hope you can find a couple of ideas in all that! Good-luck with it! {:-D
ReplyDeleteThose look like great ideas to me! I love posts about food. I'm on a diet but I can still dream right?
ReplyDeleteHealthy stews and soups, and crock pot friendly meals. Maybe hot cider options for Fall? Things to make with pumpkin, other than pie?
ReplyDeleteFall is definitely food time - maybe more than any other time of year for me. I like the idea of food to share with family and friends. Maybe Family Style?
ReplyDeleteFall is definately pumpkin time. It's a great ingredient for all kinds of recipes!
ReplyDeleteI have so many tomatoes this year I could use any ideas for using them up. I look forward to any and all ideas.
