Scavenger Hunt and I Heart Macro on Monday

Welcome to another edition of the photo Scavenger Hunt and I Heart Macro!  Enjoy!

1) Facial Feature
One of these weeks the real challenge for me will be to put together one of these posts that doesn't include Angel.  For now you get to admire her beautiful whiskers.

I thought that you'd also enjoy this outtake where she's yawning.

2) Shadow
This is not a great time of year to photograph great shadows outdoors, and there is only so much daylight for photographing them indoors.

3) Spicy
I don't know where Jake and I first had Kettle Cooked Jalapeno Chips, but it was back in 2003.  We've been eating them regularly ever since.  I am not a big fan of spicy foods, but these are really good.

You'll notice that there's cat hair on the counter.  Angel doesn't even climb on the counters!  How did that happen?

4) Gold
I had an awesome idea that would have worked well for gold OR last week's shiny.  Unfortunately I have not had an opportunity to take make it happen during the last two weeks.  When I do get a chance, I'll figure out how to work it into the hunt.  For now, this is what Jake got me for our first dating anniversary in early 2003.  I avoid wearing a lot of floral items because I think it's hopelessly corny, but this necklace is really sweet.

5) Fabric
I was excited to see that Joann Fabrics still carries the paw print fleece that I bought for Angel's kitty bed.

Check out Ashley's blog to see what other people submitted for the themes this week.

Here's my photo for I Heart Macro.
One of the things that I picked up at Joann Fabrics was some new thread.  I inherited a few spools with my machine, but I'm running through them and also wanted some new colors for my cards.  I'm sure that it's a big surprise that the turquoise and red shades were high on my list.

I'm with you on the shadows, since the sun is very elusive in my part of the world! I got lucky yesterday.

  5. I don't think your goal should be to do a post without Angel...but to do one only with photos of her :)

  6. Wow...that shadows picture shows off the beautiful wood in your house. I just love those homes old enough to have this- my parents does, complete with the 1920s crystal door handles.
