My mom came to visit this weekend. She brought the tablecloth that she'd made me for my craft fair tables! She also helped me set up the majority of my test run for the Arts Festival. When she left today, I finished tagging all of my items and completed the set up.
This is the best shot that I could get of the whole setup in this room. I'm sure that I'll be able to get better shots at the festival.
I have more $20 items than anything else. There are about 10 bracelets that I didn't even put out here. You can see lots of Edi's awesome earring cards in this shot.
I haven't been taking pictures of individual magnets or groups of magnets so far. This is everything that I've finished as of this morning. I'll have at least a dozen more at the festival.
Here are almost all of the $30 items that aren't bangles.
Close up shot of the right side of the table.
And another wider shot of the middle.
All of my non-jewelry items (mirrors, mailing list form, etc.) are at the ends of the table. I did not set up my non-price signs and matted pictures with it, but my mom and I brainstormed how I can set them up, so I'm feeling pretty good about that. Pretty much everything else that will be on the tables is out here.
I'm hoping that these pictures will help the set up process go smoothly. Setting up all of the jewelry here also assisted me in the sorting process. For the few of you reading this who have seen all of my jewelry in person, you know that it's stored securely but not in a terribly organized fashion. I still have everything set up, but when I put it away, I can sort everything by price.
In case I didn't have enough going on with the festival prep this week, I decided to make a few thank you cards while I was making my two custom cards. All of the flowers and leaves are cut from recycled magazine pages.
Lookin' good! Having groups of prices is a pretty good idea - I put price tags on each one of my items which was very time consuming. To help hide your storage boxes that will be under your table, you can get twin sized sheets from Wal-Mart for like $5 that would go to the ground on 3 sides and be underneath your nice tablecloth. You can hide a lot of stuff under my table that way while still having the nice table cloth what people focus on.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I never thought of using twin size sheets; great idea and far less expensive than JoAnn's fabric store. I gather my items in ziploc plastic storage bags by category of where they go on the display--that way even my husband can help with the inventory set up, unless he puts the bracelets backside up! He's even learned to put similar colors together. His help is priceless!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to tell you to visualize people coming to your booth, admiring your work and giving you money. Also visualize yourself telling us how well the show went and how happy you are about all the money you made selling your items. This will help to manifest it.
ReplyDeleteI tagged all items individually as well, Sharla. You can't be too thorough! I will look for a sheet this week. Thanks for the advice!
ReplyDeleteI store all of my items in plastic Tupperware, Karen. I will still have it in the Tupperware for the Arts Festival, but it will be more organized. Since items are individually tagged, others will be able to help me get everything organized pretty easily (I hope). Thanks for your input!
It looks GREAT. I predict a mob scene at your table, with all that lusciousness!
ReplyDeleteYou're ready!! :D Good luck with your show!!
ReplyDeleteWow - looks incredible!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much ladies! All of your positive feedback is really encouraging. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways helpful to do a test run... don't forget the photograph! So much to look at - it will be a fun booth to visit, for sure! Bring some tape for the tags, just in case, so they don't fly away in the wind. Nice touch with the cards!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb! I will definitely take pictures at the Arts Festival. I am also bringing almost every kind of tape and glue that I have as well as picnic table clips and large safety pins!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I love that your table cloth has the music notes on it too!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the earring cards are working out well for you :)
Great set-up, makes me wish I was closer to check it out myself. Good luck at your show, you have a great assortment.
ReplyDeleteLookin good, girlfriend. I wish you much success.
ReplyDeleteTwin sized, you say. I'm using tablecloths I buy at garage sales. Since I don't have help or a tent, I'm not doing outdoor shows, I don't think.
Good luck on all your sales! Be sure to post about the show.
Thanks everyone! I will be sure to post about how it goes. :)
ReplyDeletelooking great, Rose! I use sheets, as well, and then cover them with tablecloths.
ReplyDeleteIt's smart (albeit time-consuming) to mark everything. Many a sale can be lost because there is no price on an item and the would be customer doesn't feel like asking/ can't get to you because you're busy. Besides, items can get mixed up when people pick them up and put them down again.
love the music tablecloth and Edi's cards.
much luck!
Thanks Margaret! I'm going to get a couple of sheets tomorrow. In addition the price signs, I tagged all of my items individually. I want to do everything that I can to avoid those kinds of issues!
ReplyDeleteWow you have a lot of items. I hope it all goes well for you! I love the button magnets. I bet those will really be a hit!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I hope so! :)
