Do you remember my neighborhood walk post from last summer? I still have tons of photos from around the area as well as of our own house. I'd like to put together an article about Milwaukee style bungalows.
I've thought about writing a blog post about keeping a clutter free house for a while but have never made it happen. It'll be a good article topic.
HubPages is having a recipe contest this month. Many people are posting multiple recipes a week, so my one little submission will probably not win anything, but it's worth a shot.
As I mentioned earlier this week, I am putting together a tutorial for gift tag note cards. I need to get few more samples made it up different sizes.
I had a really hard time coming up with a title for this topic. It isn't about packaging per se, which is what the common searches are for on Google, but it's about what to include with online order packages (business cards, return offer such as free shipping, etc.). I decided that a title about growing your online business and how to get repeat customers will fit the bill. We'll see how it goes.

I may consider some travel topics, too.

Hi Rose: Do you feel that your payments for writing for HubPages is worth it?
ReplyDeleteI also see that you use PDF to create your patterns. What do you like about creating PDF files -vs- wordprocessing or desktop publishing files? I have a friend who sells her digi stamps graphics as PDF documents.
It takes a lot time to build to significant earnings on HubPages. Based on how well I've done so far, I'm confident that I'll get there within the next couple years. I believe that you have to enjoy writing to stick with it. There are more things than just the payments, like the community and networking, that make it worth it on a daily basis.
DeleteI create my patterns with a word processing program and then convert them to PDF files. PDF files are much smaller to send, which is important when you're attaching them to e-mails, and it's just a more convenient form for recipients than a word document.
Thanks so much for taking time to reply. I know you probably have NO free time, lol.
DeleteOf course! I am a big advocate of both HubPages and PDF patterns so I certainly don't mind taking the time to provide my insight. I hope that it's helpful for you.
DeleteGood topics! I would LOVE to see the post about bungalows. I'm curious to see if they're much different from Chicago-style.
ReplyDeleteDear Rose, It sounds like you are in creative mode at all times!! Good for you. I am happy to see that you are never at a loss for ideas for your blog.
ReplyDeleteYour recipe submission looks very delicious and healthy too.
Blessings dearest. Catherine xo
I love built in furniture. It just seems so useful. Your shrimp dish looks delicious.

You've got so many great new ideas! That's great to stay ahead and have ideas ready well in advance. I "try" to do this on my blog :) But you're really kickin' butt!
ReplyDeleteLots of great topics, I'd love to see the one about getting repeat buyers the most but I'd love to hear them all!
ReplyDeleteAll seem like good ideas to me... I've thought about signing up with them for craft tutorials and whatnot. How do you like writing articles at Hubpages?
ReplyDeleteI love it. I encourage anyone who has a passion for writing to give it a try. Check it out when you get a chance. :)
DeleteHello. I'm stopping by from the Interactive Blog Team, Etsy. Your blog is full of info. and it leads me to click the links and continue reading =) I like the topics you mentioned above - especially the crafty ones. Your shop is amazing as well!!
ReplyDeleteThe shrimp looks good and it would be fun to learn about bungalows.
ReplyDeleteWow...you've got an awful lot of articles under your belt already and those sound like great ideas for future posts. It's funny: when I first started blogging I wondered if I'd run out of things to say, but more often than not I have too much to fit in a week each week! Anyway, I like your idea of regional architecture, that sounds really interesting to me. On that note, do you have any friends in the area/ are their any open house events showing off DIY redesigns? That might make for a cool & popular post. I also know wedding stuff is a BIG search topic, especially trendy DIY wedding related topics. Could you come up with a few simple tutorials?
ReplyDeleteKeeping a clutter free house, recipes, - those sound good to me!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you never have a lack of ideas for topics, I love reading to see what you do new each day.
sound like good topics to me. The only way I can come up with stuff for my blog is to go through my pictures and see what comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the note cards. I love new recipes! Should go check those out.
ReplyDeleteBrian and I are both neat freaks. My mother is a clutterbug and I swear I'll never be like that.
Now my desk on the other hand.....
what about the tools that you use for: making cards, beadweaving, etc. That's always interesting, I think, to the handmade crowd out there. Decorating would be another great topic people are interested in. I like before and after pics. What to bring this summer on vacation with you (I've already been through this experience). Lots of people, whether their artists are just bad packers, could use some help! {:-D
ReplyDeleteI'd like to read about the bungalows and clutter free ideas! I always like to read about food too! :)
