(not so) Wordless Wednesday: a few reasons why I love summer

Working on projects with E-6000 gluing that I can now complete outside.

Spending lots of time at some of our favorite places in Milwaukee.

The best summer foods such as fresh fruit and ice cream.

This is one of life's great guilty pleasures: fresh fruit with sour cream.  If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you're missing!

Iced coffee.

Taking walks in our neighborhood almost every day.

Long days.  I took this picture at 6PM.

What are some of the things that you love about summer?

  3. Gosh, what is there not to like about summer. Open Farmer's Markets, fresh fruits/vegetables, long walks, warm evenings, barbecues, and I can go on and on.

Fruit and sour cream? hmmm, I going to give that a try.

  5. I hear you on the longer days! It makes photo shoots so much more relaxed.

I like the farmer's markets, walking to my errands instead of driving from store to store, eating outside...

  7. Great post! And gorgeous photos. Summer time always flies by so fast- I'm afraid with all we've got going on we'll miss it! Come July we'll really enjoy our time. Hopefully some good dinners outside on the deck this year!

  8. I love all the flowers, long days (doesn't get dark till nearly 10 here), warm summer breezes, day trips, hiking, bbqs, cute sandals, and I could basically write a book about why I love summer :)

  9. I love fresh fruit in the summer but I've never tried it with sour cream before. I do like it with cottage cheese though so I'm guessing it's similar. Trips to the coast are also a summer bonus but this year is obviously going to have a damper put on that. So far summer is off to a bad start.

I love everything about summer. The heat, the colors, the scents. I love the smell of fresh cut grass. Of course my allergies don't

  12. Your pictures have shown a lot of the same things I love about summer from the time off, to the great foods, and the beautiful flowers. As a teacher, I especially love the time off! Thanks for your visit.

  13. Looks like we are making the same thing! I have been taking advantage of my little bit of quiet time to use my glues and resin, too. What a mess;)

  14. I've not tried fruit with sour cream... going to try! Long days indeed are wonderful, but we found moving further east in the time zone has it getting light before 4:30a! Barbecues, sitting outside in the late afternoon before dinner, spending real time with friends... lots to enjoy about summer!
