Scavenger Hunt and I Heart Macro on Monday (6/4/12)

Welcome to another edition of the photo Scavenger Hunt and I Heart Macro! I've also included my weekly update about my monthly photo challenge progress. Enjoy!

1) Shine
Jake was asked to give the commencement speech for his old middle school's graduation ceremony over the weekend.  How awesome is that?  I'm so proud of him.

2) Fast
These kids were born in 1997-1998 and now they're getting ready to start high school in the fall.  Where does the time go?!

3) Left
Jake drives a lot more than me so he gets the left side of the garage, which is much easier to navigate than the right side (we have a narrow driveway).  And yes, we do need a new basketball hoop.  Something happened to the old one during the winter, and it completely shredded.

4) Peace
Is it possible to be much more at peace than Angel is right there?

5) Plain
Maybe this summer I'll start working on creating some art with my plain canvases, paint, and buttons.  I'd really like to offer a few of these type of pieces at my next round of holiday shows.

Check out Ashley's blog to see what other people submitted for the themes this week.

Here's my shot for I Heart Macro.
I took this for one of the monthly photo challenge prompts.  When we had to start giving Angel a blood pressure pill a couple months ago, I got the brilliant idea of grinding it up and the mixing it with a tiny amount of sour cream.  As evidenced by the empty spoon, she absolutely loves it.

The Monthly Photo Challenge Update:
Over the weekend I finished updating my May Photo a Day Challenge Board on Pinterest.  I also got my June Photo a Day Board up and running.  There isn't much there yet, but of course I'll continue to add more throughout the month.  Follow the board on Pinterest to get the most current updates!

  1. A kitty on blood pressure medicine? My orange boy is easy to medicate but if we ever have to give Miss Frankie any medication it is going to be a struggle.

Really liked todays "tour" - a bit more personal than usual...Enjoyed it.

Congrats to Jake on giving the speech! Time stops for no one. It keeps on ticking. I sometimes is difficult to catch up so I don't even try anymore.

  10. Congrats on his speech! It's SO weird to think about kids born in those years going into high school. I'm 26, but I consistently forget how old I am and half-think I'm only 21 or 22. I definitely don't feel like I've lived long enough to be this old. Ha ha.

  11. That's great that Angel is taking the pill so easily! Some animals will detect it anyway and not eat it. That's so cool about Jake's speech! I'm glad it went so well too:)
