1) Water
We went to the Milwaukee Brewers game yesterday. It was 85 and very humid. A lot of people were going through a lot of cold beverages and desserts during the game.
2) Petal
We haven't had a good rain in over a month, but a few plants are still thriving.
I'm also using this photo for I Heart Macro this week.
3) Fresh
Who else is still enjoying a lot of fresh fruit this time of year?
4) Eight
This another picture that I took at the Brewers game yesterday.
5) Calm
Jake and I befriended a new cat at one of our social outings this past week. His family also has a two year old, and I think he was really enjoying the adult attention. Of course the two year old kept trying to get our attention, too, which is why I'm sitting with two purses that she kept handing me throughout the evening.
Check out Ashley's blog to see what other people submitted for the themes this week.
The only new picture I have of Angel from the past week is this slightly blurry one of one of her newer favorite spots. Sometimes she sleeps with her head tucked against the pole or her neck up against it.
The Monthly Photo Challenge Update:
I had a major fail this past week with the Monthly Photo Challenge. I only have a few of the prompts completed, most of which I took over the weekend. I'll have some good opportunities to take photos in new places this next week. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up a little and post an update again next week.
Where else I linked up today:
I love that closeup of the cherries. Yum!
ReplyDeleteWe've been eating a lot of cherries, too. Last summer, I made the mistake of buying some from Whole Foods. They weren't clearly priced but I was like, "Oh, whatever, I bet they're only slightly more expensive." WRONG. They were $9/lb. Fail.
ReplyDeleteThis year we've only gotten them from Target. Ha ha.
It's been raining non-stop for weeks now! Therefore the cherry harvest wasn't good this year, so they are super expensive :-/
ReplyDeleteLOVE the kitty pictures :)
Your new friend is adorable! Was Angel jealous when you got back?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Nope, Angel doesn't get jealous when we visit with other kitties.
DeleteNothing better than seeing a post with cats, and especially Angel.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific week ahead. :)
It has been hot and humid here too. I try to buy as much fresh fruit as possible. I clean it and keep it in the freezer and use it to make fresh cold ice cream and frosty's. Blessings dear. Catherine xo
ReplyDeleteNice shots with the rose petal and cherries being my favorites. The expression on the cat's face is funny--pure bliss is what she seems to be saying as she is on your lap.
ReplyDeleteThe scavenger hunt sounds like a lot of fun. I might have to link up soon.
ReplyDeleteVery nice blog by the way.
Angel always looks so regal! That other kitty is pretty big but looks very happy to have your attention! We got some cherries yesterday too - I love them but hubby doesn't like them. More for me!
ReplyDeleteAngel looks super cute & comfy against that pole!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had much rain here either. Love seeing Angel even if she is blurry
ReplyDeleteLove the eight/eighteen :)
ReplyDeleteYour new kitty friend is purr-ity! Glad you included Angel too so she doesn't get jealous :)
Great Pics! Cherries look yummy! The heat here is extreme but I am enjoying it a bit.
ReplyDeleteYum, those cherries look delicious! Can you believe I hadn't tried one until last year? I thought they were as gross as the maraschino cherries, but boy, was I wrong!!
ReplyDeletethose cherries look delicious! yum. Like your 8!! {:-D
ReplyDeleteMmmm...cherries. I think I need to make a cherry pie now. :)
ReplyDeleteNicely done - I really like petal.
