CurbsideChaos.com: Yard Makeover Winner, Rebuilding Together, and the Garden Guru Tool

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Today I'm discussing some features and initiatives at Curbside Chaos. They recently held a yard makeover content. Congrats to Ruth and her family for winning this amazing prize! You can check out all of the details with Ruth and host Taniya Nayak transforming the yard in this video.

Getting a $5,000 yard makeover like this just blows my mind. As many of you know, Jake and I have an amazing house with almost everything that we could ever want. However, one of the things that we don't have is a porch. We would love to transform part of our backyard into a porch where we could grill, have bonfires, and hang out with family and friends from the spring through the fall.
Right now Curbside Chaos has a collaboration going with "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done." Every time you share a message on Twitter with the hashtag #CurbsideChaos, Dig, Drop, Done will donate $1.00 to Rebuilding Together. This group is one of the country's most prominent nonprofit organizations. They work to maintain affordable homeownership and to revitalize communities. visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more
You can head over to Dig Drop Done to Meet the Ladies: Marcy, Juliana, and Evelyn. Each one has a unique personality and tips for gardening. I related most to Marcy because she's always trying to juggle a lot of things at home and is looking for ways to simplify her gardening. Bulbs are a great option for her lifestyle, and I believe that they would be for mine, too.
Finally, if you're like me and need all of the help that you can get when it comes to gardening, check out the Garden Guru Tool at Curbside Chaos. It is located on the bottom lefthand side of their site. This tool allows you to determine the perfect bulbs to plant in your current location. Complete the following steps:
  1. Select your current location.
  2. Pick the time of year that you would like your bulbs to bloom (March, April, May, or June).
  3. Choose the type of bulb that you would like to plant.
  4. View the Planting Guide that gives you instructions for planting your bulbs.
I chose to grow hyacinths that will bloom in June and got a great Planting Guide that gives me all of the information that I would need to grow these bulbs successfully.
Did you know that bulbs make a great gift? Even if you're not inclined to grow many of them yourself, they are a wonderful item to give to friends and family for weddings, housewarmings, and more. Check out some great bulb gift ideas on Pinterest.

  1. Dear Rose, I am not the best at gardening, but I do try. I love planting a veggie garden, though not much luck this year. I really don't know why. It probably was the weather.
I hope you had a nice weekend. blessings my dear. Catherine xo
