Halloween decorations preview II

As you may remember, I've been going a little nuts with the fall and Halloween decorations this year. We're having a Halloween party this coming weekend, which seemed like a good excuse to break out of my Christmas only decorating and try something new. Most of these items will last for many years, making next year's decorating much less time consuming.

I also want to make sure that I share pictures now because I'm not the best at remembering to take pictures during parties. Remember Jake's birthday? I've sworn to do better this year, but I make no promises.

We had a lot of cloudy weather this week so I shot a bunch of these close ups in my light box.

All of the bats and witch hat ornaments are hung up in the dining room and living room.

Remember my leaves? I followed Shannon's tip about covering them in Mod Podge before I glued them to a piece of yarn.

Hopefully it worked and they won't be a big moldy mess by next year. So far so good.

I slightly modified this tutorial. I got one large pumpkin and five small pumpkins out of four 12x12 sheets of scrapbook paper.

We have a bunch of batting left over from Jake's Warhammer boxes. It worked out perfectly for these coffins.

Jake loves these. Who knew that $1 unfinished coffins had so much potential?

Sometimes simple ideas are the best. I made milk and dark chocolate packs.

I'm going to be making this pumpkin cupcake recipe. I'll let you know how it goes.

Suitably creepy, right? We live in an area with tons of temporary Halloween stores that carry this kind of thing. We also got a set of spiders. They look great from the outside. I still need to get a picture of that at night.

We have enough fake spiderwebs to last the next ten years or so.

Jake did an awesome job with the spiderwebs.

Are you decorating for Halloween this year? If you have any posts about this topic or tutorials that you've used, feel free to share them in the comments.
A lot of people shared awesome Halloween ideas in the comments for my Halloween decorations last post. Keep them coming!

  4. Your stuff looks great. I love the little scrapbooking pumpkins. I made some little ones like that out of old books. I've gone for more fall themed decorating so I can leave it up for a little while longer, but I do have some Halloween stuff in there.

  14. How fun! It's just me and I'm really pinched as far as my budget right now so I'm not going to decorate this year. When I was married we'd decorate the outside. Things on the windows, grave markers, etc. I will definitely decorate for Christmas though!
