This is the last day for $1.00 shipping with no charges on additional items in my Etsy shop! Take advantage of it while you can!
My second earring listing is up and running. Check it out!
I made these earrings with trans AB lt green/pink delicas from my most recent Art Beads blogging order. I have used this color in some of my other recent green combinations for different pieces, too. I like them so much on their own, though, that I wanted them to stand alone here. These beads are part of Art Beads's transparent AB delicas category. This particular item is on sale for St. Patrick's Day! You can check it out, along with lots of other wonderful green items, in their St. Patrick's Day section.
Stay tuned tomorrow for my March deal in my Etsy shop, and stay tuned on Tuesday for a feature/giveaway that Heather (Joy De Vivre Design) will be hosting for me on her blog. :)
Disclosure - I received my ArtBead's products free of charge through their blogging program. I am honestly reviewing their products and have not been paid for my endorsement as it pertains to the products I received.

continuing with the green
I've been making new spotlights on byhand.me lately. You've seen most of the items that I've featured here already, but feel free to check them out if you're interested!
I listed my newest green item today - spring green peyote triangle pendant. I already posted a new pictures of this when I was experimenting with new pendant poses so I'm just posting the top picture from the listing.
I am finally doing the detail work for my newest flower cuff, which will have a base with all of these dark greens. As previous mentioned, I love all of these green shades that I've been working with lately. One of the newer ones from my collection is this beautiful emerald green. I'm almost out but will definitely be ordering more in the future.

first earrings for sale and a new earring design
I finally listed my first pair of earrings for sale on Etsy today! I'm only going to post the top listing picture here since you've already seen them before, but please click on the picture to check out the listing.
I am still really into all of these green shades of delicas. I will be listing the pendant with all of these shades and other pair of earrings with one of these shades over the next week. I'm still working on my next flower cuff and have two more earring ideas, too.
I photographed my newest pair of earrings today. My husband says that they remind him of the old Star Trek Starfleet logo. I was not intending this, but it is definitely true.
As mentioned before, they are made with the same combination of delicas that I used in my new ceramic donut necklace. I know that the colors look pretty different in these two photos. In most lighting, they look somewhere in between. I don't want to name them after the Starfleet logo and get in some sort of copyright trouble. However, I haven't thought of another title yet so suggestions are welcome. They can have something to do with the shape and/or colors!

one of the most underrated colors
I like almost every color. Since I seriously got into making jewelry almost two years ago, I've experimented with a lot of colors and started wearing a lot of colors that I never thought I would. There are several colors that I think are underrated. Lime is one of them. I got these awesome lime beads when I was back in Chicago over Presidents' Day weekend.
Since I'm sure that everyone could use a refreshing spring color this time of year, I thought it would be fun to do a little lime feature.

reorganizing and an award
Since I'm going to start listing earrings on Etsy soon, I decided to reorganize my Etsy shop sections a little bit. All of the bangles are in the right angle weaves section now instead of in their own section. All of the cuffs are together and all of the super skinny bracelets are together. Let me know what you think!
I'm still offering $1.00 shipping on everything with no charges on additional items until the end of the month. I will be offering a new deal for March so stay tuned the beginning of next week for that announcement.

purple or brown?
A woman from Chicago bought one of my older pieces, blue with a hint of green right angle bracelet, on Etsy today! That was such a boost. :)
I made my most recent pair of earrings with opaque pearl espresso bean delicas. The opaque and opaque matte shades of the espresso bean delicas are definitely brown. I think that the pearl finish makes them look almost purple, though. You can really see that come through in the first picture.
I used these same espresso bean delicas in my most recent creation for myself this weekend, which is a necklace with the smoke fired ceramic donut that I won from Kristie (artisanclay). I bought some very thin (1/8" wide) black grosgrain ribbon for the cord. I need to mention that I owe a lot of credit to Carol Dean for my original inspiration for this design because she's made some beautiful necklaces like this one that are very similar. I'm very pleased with the result. Kristie still has some ceramic donuts like this one available in shop if anyone is interested.
I made one more pair of earrings this weekend with the same delicas that I used in my necklace. I still need to photograph them.
While I was taking pictures today, someone decided to help me. So I took some pictures of her, too.

turquoise and red
I finished another pair of earrings this week. I still have two more substantial projects in the works. I don't know why I haven't had more passion for them this past week. Getting everything fixed at home and working on my last 6 master's credits has zapped more out of me than I realized it would I guess. It hasn't helped that my hands have been more chapped and sore from the dry weather than usual lately or that I've been a little discouraged about my lack of Etsy sales (I haven't had one since Thanksgiving).
I'm planning to photograph the new earrings tomorrow, and hopefully I'll make progress on at least one other project over the weekend. For now, I'm going to share a few items in one of my favorite color combinations: turquoise and red!

EtsyBlogger February Featured Seller
The EtsyBlogger February Featured Seller is TiLTCreations! She has two Etsy shops: TiLTcreations and tilttoo. She also has two blogs: tiltcreations and tiltcreationstoo. Fun stuff! The items that I've selected to feature here are from her TiLTcreations shop.
I think that this first item is my favorite from her current selection.

congrats, purple earrings
I sold my latest version of the leafy series - autumn with the Lisa Peters button in person to my grandma yesterday. :) It may be the last one with large bronze beads like this. The cone beads are still available, but the bronze leaves aren't. I still have a personal version of it with these cones leaves. I'll be brainstorming a new for sale version with something a little different.
Congratulations to Laura (Lauralia) for winning the January/February EBW Challenge Ocean/Sea with her Imagined Seas necklace! Thanks much to all who voted for my leafy ocean piece, too. :) As always, there were so many amazing entries. The March theme is Fairy Tale. I would LOVE to design something that Belle from Beauty and the Beast (my favorite Disney movie of all time) would wear, but I'm not sure if it's going to come together in time for the challenge.
I photographed my newest pair of earrings today after the latest set of repairmen had finished. (I don't want to speak too soon, but it's the last set of scheduled visits for now at least.) I'm still thinking of a name for this pair. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
I still don't have any of my earrings for sale on Etsy yet, but if you're interested in any of them for yourself, they'll be $7.00 each. Let me know, and I'll create a listing for you. And like all of my designs, you can request them in any color. If I haven't designed something that speaks to you yet, let me know what you'd like. :)

quick news and a random feature
Two out of the three things that went wrong with the week have been resolved now and the last thing is on its way to being resolved so I'm feeling much better than I was the last time I posted. A couple other neat things have happened over the past two days, too. The first was that Art Beads included my pink/red rock garden bracelet in their Valentine's Day Blogger Gallery of Designs on Facebook! The second was the I sold the leafy series - modern in person last night. :) This was my first sale since Thanksgiving!
I was really torn between doing a leafy feature or a random feature tonight. I decided to go with a random feature this time. Here are a few of my newly favorited items on Etsy. Enjoy!

more earrings and experimenting with poses
I've continued to make a few more smaller green items as I work away on my next flower cuff. I'm still catching up on renewing items on Etsy and deciding what photos I'd like to use for my earrings listings so I haven't listed anything new yet. But here's a peak at what I've been doing.
I have always had more trouble photographing pendants that I have bracelets/cuff. I got inspired by my earring experiments and decided to take some hanging shots of my newest pendant.
My classic music background shots of it turned out pretty well, too, this time around and show off the vividness of the greens better. I think that a couple of each of these shots plus one with a clear glass would make a nice mix for a listing.
I have one other finished pair of green earrings, too.
I did a little hunting over the weekend for another prop for my hanging photos and came up with this lovely tea light holder at Target. I've been really into candles since this past fall so it fits in nicely with that, too. I'm sure that you can quickly figure out why else I like it as well.
I LOVE the tea light holder and will continue to use it. I'd like to find something else with a similar shape to the first candle holder that I featured in this post. Maybe a wine glass like this would work well. It just happened that this comes in green, I swear!
As always, feedback is much appreciated!

back online at home, Jan./Feb. EBW Challenge
I got a new cable modem at home today! This past week hasn't been the best one ever for several reasons. I don't want to get into all of it here, but I am very relieved to have one thing fixed. Thank you so much for everyone's continued support during my online absence! I'm really excited about how many drops I've had on Entrecard and how many new followers/fans I've had here, on Facebook, and on Twitter.
Voting is up for the Jan./Feb. EBW Challenge Ocean/Sea! You can vote on the blog by clicking here now through Feb. 15th. My entry the leafy series - ocean is #3.
I don't have any pictures of sneak peaks or finished pieces yet, but I finished another pair of earrings and a new pendant over the weekend, both in green. I've also made progress on a couple new cuffs. More details on everything soon.
$1.00 shipping on everything and no charges on additional items still holds in my Etsy shop through the end of the month!

It will be here before we know it! My husband and I started dating in January so Valentine's Day was the first holiday that we ever celebrated together, which is why it has a special place in my heart now. :) I also work at an elementary school, which makes it pretty fun (obviously!).
