There are more advertising ideas here than you will ever need. Some are only applicable to certain kinds of shops/businesses so you'll be able to narrow down the list as you go through it.
I am part of Tribal Blogs and honestly have not done a lot of it because my blogging efforts have been focused elsewhere. But it's a great community. For fellow EtsyBloggers who really enjoy our group, Tribal Blogs has a lot of similar features.
For fellow beaders who also use delicas, this is a great resource. Not only does it include the color names for all delica numbers, but it has information about how durable their finishes are. If you bead, most likely at some point you have worked with metallic beads where the finish wore off. I avoid metallic delicas for this exact reason. If you're not sure about a certain bead number, look it up before you purchase it.
Every time I give a new person the link for my light box post, I get comments so I'm posting my original source again. This is the tutorial that I used for making my own light box. I use two bulbs, not one as pictured above, but otherwise my set up is pretty similar. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have good photographs on Etsy. I get very frustrated every time I see beautiful items that are poorly photographed. Don't let this be you. This forum post on Etsy is also particularly helpful, especially if you have items that are too large to fit in a light box. Whether you use a light box or not, if you're using bulbs, PLEASE use these bulbs or something very similar.
If you enjoy the Zuppa Toscana from the Olive Garden like Jake and I do, you can make it at home. I have to admit that I have not done this myself yet, but I know people who have. They have all been very pleased with the result.
